I love all the incredible textures that this remarkable flower has to offer, not to mention in the least, it's coloring.
Sunflowers have huge blossoms with, as a rule, very large centers and large leaves and their seeds, as we all know, are a favorite food of songbirds, worldwide.
Some of the South African varieties are rich brownish reds, bronze and deep yellows, very textured and strong stems.
We have all seen a field of Sunflowers, where all the flower heads are facing toward the sun, therefore Sunflower.
