Iris Irises, family of Iridaceae have always been one of my favorite subjects. In my paintings I have included self’s, (solid color iris), by-colors, (standards are one color, falls are another), Bearded Iris and more. I try to offer a mix of color variations to give the viewer a since of the countless varieties of shapes and forms that Iris come in. Colors are a range from white, yellows, all shades of pinks, lavenders, lavender blues, purples, dark brown reds/ orange, yellow and so on. Too many color variations to list. Foliage is upright with shades varying from yellow green to dark green and variegated.
